The Oliver Purvis Memorial Cup Results -13/8/23

Today was by far the best attended competition from 13 club members and more importantly the first Junior in six years. The hospitality of the venue was fantastic. The weather was humid with a very brief shower and variable wind. It was challenging today with 7 anglers not scoring but certainly an enjoyable one. It was great to welcome new and returning members. The scores have been complied and the first 'joker' score of the season was available if required. Its an interesting leader board this year as we approach the final competition of the season. There is a two way battle for 1st and 2nd place between reigning champion Jim Yeomans and Jim Cameron with a current difference of only 4 points. Third place is still up for grabs with a 4 way battle between John Adams, Mark Straughen, Ronnie Hek & John Foreman.

Jim Yeomans is a long way in front in the Henderson Cup and could only be overtaken with a phenomenal score in competition 10. Congratulations to Tom Williamson for his place on the junior scoreboard. All scores except (JNR) are provisional and will be verified prior to this years AGM.
