BAPTISMS, WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS

To organise or enquire about a Baptism, Wedding, or Funeral, please contact the Vicar, the Revd Rob Kelsey: Telephone: (01289) 382325, Email: robert.josephkelsey@live.com

BAPTISMS

Baptisms usually take place during the main Sunday morning service.

WEDDINGS

As a general rule, anyone who lives in the parish, or has a family connection with the parish, can get married at Norham Church. We are obliged to charge the statutory fee of about £500. About half is retained by Norham Church, and about half is passed on to the diocese as a contribution to the cost of providing a Vicar for the parish. (None of the fee goes into the Vicar’s pocket! He is paid by the diocese to provide a service to anyone who asks, which he is very happy to do.)

Norham Church operates a Wedding Support Fund, which exists to help couples to get married in church, who might otherwise be put off by the fees.

If you or someone you know would like to get married in Norham Church, please speak to the Vicar (and ask about a grant from the Wedding Support Fund, if necessary).

FUNERALS

Anyone who lives or dies in the parish is entitled to have a funeral in the Parish Church, and be buried in the churchyard.
