Susan Ryder is a member, and former Vice President, of The Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She is well-known not simply as a portrait painter – she has in the past been commissioned to paint both the late Queen Elizabeth, and Princess Diana, amongst other celebrities – but also as a painter of interesting and unusual house interiors and exteriors.
She has lived in the Scottish Borders for many years and has connections with St Cuthbert’s Church that go back over one hundred years. She has very generously donated a painting, ‘St Cuthbert’s in Autumn’, to raise funds for the St Cuthbert’s Project.
