A Service of Commemoration for Piper Daniel Laidlaw VC ‘The Piper of Loos’ (1875-1950)
11.00am Friday 25th September 2026
(The anniversary of the award of Piper Laidlaw’s VC.)
The service begins at the Norham war memorial, then moves to Piper Laidlaw’s graveside.
A piper will play the Regimental Charge; ‘The Standard on the Braes o’ Mar’; the Regimental Quick March; ‘Blue Bonnets O’er the Border’ (played by Piper Laidlaw at the Battle of Loos).
Followed by refreshments in the Mason’s Arms.
