Exploring your surroundings is often the best way to really discover beauty and atmosphere.  Norham Church is home to many wonderful stain glass windows, artefacts and religious objects that can be discovered following our Church trail. The trail guide will lead you to various locations within the church and provide a snippet of information about that item/artefact.

IF ONLY THE STONES COULD SPEAK, OVER 1000 YEARS OF HISTORY.

840 AD

The first church of Norham was built. It was made from wood and was situated roughly where the preaching cross lies on the village green.

HOW TO FIND THE CHURCH

BY CAR

Unfortunately there is no parking at the church.

You can park for free on both Castle Street and West Street with just a short 5 minute walk to the Church entrance. 

BY BUS

Norham village has a routine bus service that stops in the centre of the village (village green) ​and is only a 5 minute walk to the Church entrance.

OPENING TIMES

St Cuthberts Church is open everyday from dawn until dusk throughout the year.

ACCESSIBILITY

At St Cuthberts we want to make sure we deliver a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all our visitors. The main part of the church is accessible by wheelchair and mobility scooter users alike.
