Church Choir

Norham Church has a small, good four-part adult choir, an excellent two-manual organ, and the delightful St Cuthbert’s Junior Singers who sing on the first Sunday of the month and on other special occasions.

Practices are on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 6.30pm.

St Cuthbert’s Junior Singers also meet on Thursdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm (see separate notice).

Our organist, Julian Bonia (contact details as above), restored the Binns organ in 2000 and is happy
to talk to anyone who is interested in the instrument.

St Cuthbert's Junior Singers

We are a group of mostly younger members who sing for fun. We enjoy singing a wide range of
worship songs, pop songs, rounds, etc.
We practice weekly on Thursdays during term time at St Cuthbert’s Church, Norham, from 3.30pm
to 4.30pm. We also have the opportunity to lead First Sunday Worship and take part in other village
activities.
We welcome all children of any ability from Year 2 upwards. We would like some adult volunteers
(preferably singers) who would be willing to spend 45 minutes with the children on a rota basis.
If you and/or your children are interested in being involved, please contact me, Sarah Bougourd.

Concert Planning Group

The Norham Church Concert Planning Group comprises members of the congregation and local
community. We usually organise six to eight concerts and similar events each year, with the primary
aim of extending the community use of the church building, and encouraging more people to visit
the church and village.
Our ‘Concerts and Charities Fund’ enables us to finance more ambitious events, and/or make
donations to local good causes, or purchase equipment for use in Norham Church (such as lighting
and staging).
For more info please see the posters for individual events, or contact our publicity officer, Tory Craig, Telephone: (01289) 3827654, Email: torylintoncraig@aol.com.

Norham CofE First School

Norham Church and Norham Church of England Primary School have a good working relationship.
The Vicar leads Collective Worship in school most weeks, and the schoolchildren and parents attend
services in Norham Church about once a term.

Longridge Towers School

Norham Church and Longridge Towers School have a good working relationship. The Vicar leads
assemblies in both the Senior and Junior Schools once a term, and the Junior School, plus parents
and grandparents, use the church for an assembly in the run-up to Christmas and Easter each year.
